THE BEEHIVE
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
The Beehive is a community workplace. In order for The Space to function as intended we require that all Members act respectfully towards each other and treat each other in a professional manner. You agree that permission to access and use The Space is contingent on your compliance with the following terms in this agreement.
DEFINED TERMS:
The Space: Consists of the first floor and basement of the building located at 543 Albany Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11203. The space is open Sunday-Thursday from 8am-7pm, Friday 8am-4pm, and closed on Saturdays.
Members: Beehive Members are individuals who pay to use the space in either of the three membership tiers, the "open desk", "designated work space" or "daily use".
Workspace: The Workspace is where members work. There are two types of spaces, "open desk" and "designated work space". There will be tables in the room which "open desk" members can use to work on at any time. The "designated work spaces" are spaces throughout the workspaces which are isolated from the rest of the room by a room divider for privacy and a table and chair.
THE TERMS:
Payment is due prior to the beginning of use of The Space whether a monthly or daily subscription. Payment can be sent via zelle/paypal to matchshul@gmail.com.
Respect other Members. Keep in mind that this is a community workplace and other Members are trying to concentrate on their work. Refrain from speaking loudly in The Space. Whispering and quiet voices are permitted but only in intervals and no lengthy conversations or bull shoving is permitted.
The downstairs floor is reserved as a social networking area. You may speak freely and interact with other Members there, but must do so in a courteous and professional manner. No profanity or shouting will be tolerated. This is a professional environment.
Be neat. All personal items that are brought to The Space must be kept in your Designated Workspace at all times. (Besides for any food and drink which you keep in the fridge.) Do not leave your possessions outside of your Workspace. Do not leave trash anywhere around The Space.
Personal food may be brought and stored in the fridge located on the basement floor. However, you must label your food so that others do not take it. We are not responsible if anyone steals your lunch. At the end of the week all food and drinks that are left in the fridge will be discarded, unless we specifically agree otherwise. All food brought onto the premises must be kosher certified .
You may not bring any alcohol or drugs into The Space without specific permission.
You may not take anything from the fridge that you did not bring yourself or were not given explicit permission by M@TCH Space to take.
You are personally responsible to fix and cover all the costs for any damages you create or cause in The Space. M@TCH Space will not cover the costs of any damages created or caused by any Member.
Use of The Space is restricted to Members only. Members may bring a guest free of charge for meetings conducted in the meeting room only. Daily passes for guests are available for purchase for $20.
This is an open minded community. This is not a “safe space”. It is possible that you will hear an opinion that you do not agree with from other Members. Regardless of your emotional feelings you are prohibited from shaming, cancelling, or using violence towards other Members of the community. However, we do ask that you be cordial and respectful of other Member's sensitivities.
Thank you for taking the time to read this tedious but necessary list of terms and conditions. We hope that The Space will be a helpful tool for you to stay motivated and connected while you pursue your ambitions and dreams.
